We enjoyed a beautiful September evening serving up a special birthday dinner in Gibsonville, NC. The host had a beautiful outdoor setup for guests. I quickly made friends with the host’s canines. All I had to do was start pulling out the food!
The evening started with their choice of Mediterranean flatbread and Prosciutto wrapped figs. Once the guests were seated they enjoyed a mixed green and arugula salad with a citrus vinaigrette. The salad was followed by garlic herb grilled lobster tail wrapped around a jumbo sea scallop with lemon scented pesto sauce and served with roasted baby potatoes and grilled asparagus.
Dessert included a slice of flourless chocolate torte with amarena cherry sauce and a slice of surprise birthday cake from the famous Ines Bakery in Gibsonville.
